I've been brewing my own beer & cider for almost 3 years now.

Started out doing Partial mashes and finally went All Grain, if just for the cost savings.
I'm slowly putting together a "brew sculpture" but I don't know of any welders who would trade work for brew so its been slow going.

Brews on tap
English ale
English Stout.

Kegged & carbonating
Irish red

Currently brewing
Black Lager (if everything works out it should be between 7.5 and 8% ABV)
Strong Cider
Maple Mead

Some people reload ammo, I reload bottles.

That's really cool! I don't home brew, but I do drink at home... Does that mean I'm halfway there?!

Any chance you could post some photos? What's you average cost per brew? Interesting stuff!

My costs average $0.85 to $1.00 per bottle, so about the cost of a premium six pack or so. I brew in 5 gallon batches, which yields about 48 bottles.

I'll need to take pictures of my current setup, but here's some from my 1st batch of beer a few years ago.

Now that is a good hobby! One I'll have to take up someday, as soon as I shed a few other hobbies I suppose.

Good thing you don't reload. Reloading while loading can be dangerous:drool5:

Wow! Now this is interesting. It doesn't look that difficult.

Drinking while brewing does have some inherent dangers... not as dangerous as drinking while reloading however.

Bigfoot, if you can make soup/boil water, you can make beer.
