The February ViMBAR match will be held this Saturday, the 13th. Set up at 8.00am and match at 9.00am.
We will also be holding the first leg of the 2010 Enfield Award. This side match will be for the No.1 Enfield. Ishapore No.2A's will also be allowed.
Not to be a smart ass, but a couple of you have asked how the tell the difference between a No.1 and a No.4 Enfield.
The No.1 will be marked on the right side of the butt socket, under the bolt handle. It will say, " No.1 Mk. III" or something similar. Or it may say "SMLE", if it's an older rifle. The distinguishing features are a barrel mounted rear sight and a barrel which ends flush with the nose cap.
The No.4 is marked on the left side of the receiver and will say "No.4 Mk.1" or similar. The No.4 has a receiver mounted rear sight and the barrel protrudes past the nose cap by an inch or so.
Hope to see you at the range.
