MACHINE GUN MATCH 1/8/06 TONY DEE
A perfect morning for the match with bright sunshine and no wind. The shooter started with a loaded Subgun and had to engage several stationary clay targets before moving on to several steel and paper targets. The range was reset for the second stage where the shooter had to take out two paper targets that were several yards away. Two clay bonus targets were also mounted on the head boxes. If these were hit the shooter received a 5 second reduction for each one. A great deal of ammunition was expended in this stage. A very close team event was held after the main match. Next match will be held on FEBUARY 12th at 0900 setup at 0800. This match will be a SUBGUN match however it will require several MANDATORY RELOADS. Hope to see you there.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 2/12/06 TONY DEE
A perfect morning for the match. We used the Shoot House for this contest and it proved to be a fun match. The shooter started outside with an empty gun and had to engage several paper and clay targets as he worked his way though the different rooms. At the back of the house the shooter had to neutralize several steel and pin targets through the back windows. The range was reset for the second run using steel and pins only. A team event was held after the main match that was very close. The next match will be a TWO GUN Match. The shooter will need a Centerfire Rifle and a Sub-gun. The rifle can be of any type action and you will be shooting about 5 steel targets at about 50 yards. Scopes are OK. No Armor piercing or magnum ammo. Match will be held on MARCH 12th at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 3/12/06 TONY DEE
It was a crisp morning for this match. We were expecting much worse weather so we were thankful it was not raining. We had a two gun match with the shooter starting with a rifle and he had to engage 5 steel targets before he picked up his pre-staged sub gun and continued the course. The fastest time for the first run was 46.00. The course was reset for the second run with only 1 rifle target and the fastest time was 19.87. A team event was held after the main match. Next month will be a 3 GUN MATCH. You will need a Pistol, Shotgun with Birdshot, and Sub-gun. Match date is APRIL 9th at 0900 setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 4/09/06 TONY DEE
It was a perfect morning for this match. We had a three gun match with the shooter starting with a pistol and he had to engage 5 steel targets and 2 clays before he picked up his pre-staged shotgun and continued the course. The fastest time for the first run was 23.31. The course was reset for the second run for the Sub-Gun and the fastest time was 16.75. A team event was held after the main match. Next month will be an Assault Rifle or a Sub-Gun Match. You can use either type of gun, however there will be no Class difference. All Sub-Guns will compete together and all Assault Rifles will be in the same class regardless of sights. Date is MAY 14th at 0900 setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 5/14/06 TONY DEE
A perfect morning for the match with no wind. This was both a SubGun and Assault rifle match. Two different courses of fire were set up on the range and depending on what gun you used determined what targets you shot. After the first run the range was reset and another two courses were set up. Good fun. A team event was held after the main match and it was the fastest one we ever had. Next month will be a SUBGUN match and it will be the last match before our Summer break. Match will be on JUNE 11th at 0900 setup at 0800.

A perfect morning for the match with no wind and perfect temperatures This was the first match of the new season and it was good seeing old friends again.. A Sub-Gun and revolver match was set up using reactive and paper targets. Two shooting positions were used and things went along very smoothly. A team event was held after the main match that was good fun. Our next match will be on October 8th and it will be a Three Gun Match. This will be a bit different as you will need a Sub-Gun, Rifle and a Shotgun. The Rifle can be any center fire action, but no Mangum or Armor piercing ammo. The Shotgun ammo is Birdshot only. MACHINE GUN MATCH 10/8/06 TONY DEE
A perfect morning for the match with perfect temperatures . This was our Three Gun match. Two shooting positions were used and the shooter started with the Rifle. After taking out 4 steel targets in a Badger Sweep (Cowboy Shooting Stage) with 10 rounds the shooter then picked op his Shotgun and engaged 8 targets including one flyer that was low and fast. The range was then reset for the Sub-gun portion of the match. The times from both stages were added together for a final grand total. A team event was held after the main match that was good fun. Our next match will be on November 12th and it will be a ALL BOWLING PIN MATCH. We have special awards for this match and it will be open to any type of Machine Gun. Belt feds included. MACHINE GUN MATCH 11/12/06 TONY DEE
A breezy morning for the match with cool temperatures . This was our special Bowling Pin Match. Only one shooting position was used. The shooter started with the gun and had to neutralize 40 bowling pins. This proved to be more difficult than it sounds. Several hundred rounds of ammo were expended completing this simple task. We did have some different guns show up for this match. There was an MG42, a 1919 Browning, a Vickers and a ZB26. This match was special and we only did one run. The range was then reset for the team event portion of the match. Our next match will be on December 10th and it will be a Sub-Gun match with mandatory reloads so leave the drums at home. MACHINE GUN MATCH 12/10/06 TONY DEE
A very cold and breezy morning for the match with clouds and the threat of rain. We machine gunners are a hardy lot and we persevered. A three stage match was set up and the shooter had to reload between stages. We kept the match short and the targets were close to move things along. The range was reset for the second run and we were finished by 1100 hrs. Gail Wright provided a delicious cake for all to celebrate the Holiday season and my wedding anniversary. Plaques were also presented to Jack and John Wylie and also to Gail Wright for all their help in keeping the matches going all year long. Thanks. Due to a scoring error that I made last month I also presented another Bowling Pin trophy to Dave White the winner of B Class in last months special Bowling Pin Match. A team event followed the main match with some nice prizes awarded thanks to Tom Wright who shot the entire match in a Santa suit. Next month we will be doing a TWO GUN match. You will need a Rifle and a Sub-Gun. Match will be on January 14th at 0900. Setup at 0800. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

A perfect morning for the match with bright sunshine and no wind. The shooter started with a loaded Subgun and had to engage several stationary clay targets before moving on to several steel and paper targets. The range was reset for the second stage where the shooter had to take out two paper targets that were several yards away. Two clay bonus targets were also mounted on the head boxes. If these were hit the shooter received a 5 second reduction for each one. A great deal of ammunition was expended in this stage. A very close team event was held after the main match. Next match will be held on FEBUARY 12th at 0900 setup at 0800. This match will be a SUBGUN match however it will require several MANDATORY RELOADS. Hope to see you there.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 2/12/06 TONY DEE
A perfect morning for the match. We used the Shoot House for this contest and it proved to be a fun match. The shooter started outside with an empty gun and had to engage several paper and clay targets as he worked his way though the different rooms. At the back of the house the shooter had to neutralize several steel and pin targets through the back windows. The range was reset for the second run using steel and pins only. A team event was held after the main match that was very close. The next match will be a TWO GUN Match. The shooter will need a Centerfire Rifle and a Sub-gun. The rifle can be of any type action and you will be shooting about 5 steel targets at about 50 yards. Scopes are OK. No Armor piercing or magnum ammo. Match will be held on MARCH 12th at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 3/12/06 TONY DEE
It was a crisp morning for this match. We were expecting much worse weather so we were thankful it was not raining. We had a two gun match with the shooter starting with a rifle and he had to engage 5 steel targets before he picked up his pre-staged sub gun and continued the course. The fastest time for the first run was 46.00. The course was reset for the second run with only 1 rifle target and the fastest time was 19.87. A team event was held after the main match. Next month will be a 3 GUN MATCH. You will need a Pistol, Shotgun with Birdshot, and Sub-gun. Match date is APRIL 9th at 0900 setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 4/09/06 TONY DEE
It was a perfect morning for this match. We had a three gun match with the shooter starting with a pistol and he had to engage 5 steel targets and 2 clays before he picked up his pre-staged shotgun and continued the course. The fastest time for the first run was 23.31. The course was reset for the second run for the Sub-Gun and the fastest time was 16.75. A team event was held after the main match. Next month will be an Assault Rifle or a Sub-Gun Match. You can use either type of gun, however there will be no Class difference. All Sub-Guns will compete together and all Assault Rifles will be in the same class regardless of sights. Date is MAY 14th at 0900 setup at 0800.

A perfect morning for the match with no wind. This was both a SubGun and Assault rifle match. Two different courses of fire were set up on the range and depending on what gun you used determined what targets you shot. After the first run the range was reset and another two courses were set up. Good fun. A team event was held after the main match and it was the fastest one we ever had. Next month will be a SUBGUN match and it will be the last match before our Summer break. Match will be on JUNE 11th at 0900 setup at 0800.

A perfect morning for the match with no wind and perfect temperatures This was the first match of the new season and it was good seeing old friends again.. A Sub-Gun and revolver match was set up using reactive and paper targets. Two shooting positions were used and things went along very smoothly. A team event was held after the main match that was good fun. Our next match will be on October 8th and it will be a Three Gun Match. This will be a bit different as you will need a Sub-Gun, Rifle and a Shotgun. The Rifle can be any center fire action, but no Mangum or Armor piercing ammo. The Shotgun ammo is Birdshot only. MACHINE GUN MATCH 10/8/06 TONY DEE
A perfect morning for the match with perfect temperatures . This was our Three Gun match. Two shooting positions were used and the shooter started with the Rifle. After taking out 4 steel targets in a Badger Sweep (Cowboy Shooting Stage) with 10 rounds the shooter then picked op his Shotgun and engaged 8 targets including one flyer that was low and fast. The range was then reset for the Sub-gun portion of the match. The times from both stages were added together for a final grand total. A team event was held after the main match that was good fun. Our next match will be on November 12th and it will be a ALL BOWLING PIN MATCH. We have special awards for this match and it will be open to any type of Machine Gun. Belt feds included. MACHINE GUN MATCH 11/12/06 TONY DEE
A breezy morning for the match with cool temperatures . This was our special Bowling Pin Match. Only one shooting position was used. The shooter started with the gun and had to neutralize 40 bowling pins. This proved to be more difficult than it sounds. Several hundred rounds of ammo were expended completing this simple task. We did have some different guns show up for this match. There was an MG42, a 1919 Browning, a Vickers and a ZB26. This match was special and we only did one run. The range was then reset for the team event portion of the match. Our next match will be on December 10th and it will be a Sub-Gun match with mandatory reloads so leave the drums at home. MACHINE GUN MATCH 12/10/06 TONY DEE
A very cold and breezy morning for the match with clouds and the threat of rain. We machine gunners are a hardy lot and we persevered. A three stage match was set up and the shooter had to reload between stages. We kept the match short and the targets were close to move things along. The range was reset for the second run and we were finished by 1100 hrs. Gail Wright provided a delicious cake for all to celebrate the Holiday season and my wedding anniversary. Plaques were also presented to Jack and John Wylie and also to Gail Wright for all their help in keeping the matches going all year long. Thanks. Due to a scoring error that I made last month I also presented another Bowling Pin trophy to Dave White the winner of B Class in last months special Bowling Pin Match. A team event followed the main match with some nice prizes awarded thanks to Tom Wright who shot the entire match in a Santa suit. Next month we will be doing a TWO GUN match. You will need a Rifle and a Sub-Gun. Match will be on January 14th at 0900. Setup at 0800. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.
