MACHINE GUN MATCH 01/14/07 TONY DEE
A very cold morning for this match greeted us. We were very lucky that there was no wind but the temperature was 18 degrees when we were setting up. 11 hard core machine gunners showed up and we had a fun match. The shooter started with 5 rds loaded in his rifle and had to hit a reactive target at 25 yards. If the target was hit there was a 30 second bonus deducted from your time. The shooter then picked up the sub-gun and completed the course. We kept the match short and the targets were close to move things along. The range was reset for the second run and we were finished by 1100 hrs. Next match will be a Sub-Gun match and will be on February 11th at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 02/11/07 TONY DEE
A cold and windy morning for this match greeted us again. We have not been very lucky the last few months when it comes to weather. I hope that the weather gods will be nicer to us next month. We did a two stage match this month with Pins, Steel, and Clay targets. It was a fast moving match and was a lot of fun. A team match followed the main match. Next month we will be doing a 3 Gun Match. You will need a Shotgun with birdshot ammo only, a Sub-Gun and a Handgun. We will be shooting pins off the table with the handgun so the bigger the caliber the better. Date will be March 11th at 0900hrs setup at 0800hrs.

I also realized that I knew one of the first time shooters' fathers from 25+ years ago. The world gets smaller every day...

MACHINE GUN MATCH 03/11/07 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for our three gun match. We did a two stage match with the first stage using the handgun and shotgun. The shooter had to take 5 bowling pins off the a 4 X 8 table. It was tough for smaller caliber pistols to do this clean and the .45cals ruled. The shooter then picked up a pre-staged shotgun and took down 9 steel and clay targets. The course was reset for the sub-gun stage. The shooter had to take 9 pins off the table and then move to another position and take out several steel targets. Great fun and the match moved along quickly. A team event was held after the main match. Next month will be our Annual All Bowling Pin Match. That means anything goes as far as guns. You can use a Sub-Gun, Assault rifle or a BELT FED. Match will be on April 8th (Easter Sunday) at 0900. Setup at 0800

What a BEAUTIFUL day to be pulling the trigger... and we were fortunate to be able to use several guns! Here's a few photos from the pistol and shotgun portion of today's three gun match. The subgun photos will follow.
Many thanks to all the usual suspects who selflessly volunteer their time so the rest of us can enjoy ourselves. Unfortunately, there are the same few people re-setting steel and pins, taping paper, and policing brass every month. We have a few that arrive late, (like me!), and leave early, and do nothing in between but enjoy the weather, shoot, and sit on their ass.
Something's REALLY wrong when the R.O. in charge of running the timer is forced to go down range to re-set pins while dozens of shooters stand by and watch him! I can assure you I will no longer allow my wife to reset your targets when she's also tasked with keeping an accurate score sheet and the shooter's positions. Perhaps YOUR wife will come and re-set your steel and pins? After today, it looks like the mandatory work program may be returning.
Please take a moment to consider AND THANK the people that make this monthly match happen. Without several people's dedication, Tony Dee's chief among them, we wouldn't have a subgun match in Las Vegas. Them's the facts folks, plain and simple. Please do your part to keep this event running smoothly. Thanks for your help and consideration.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 04/08/07 TONY DEE
A perfect Easter Sunday morning greeted us for our match. This was our annual ALL Bowling Pin Match.. Any Machine gun was acceptable for this match. We had a wide assortment of Belt-Feds, Assault Rifles and Sub-Guns. The match was simple. Take down 30 Bowling Pins as quickly as possible. This is Bowling Nevada Style. Great fun. Next Month will be a Two Gun Match. You will need a center fire rifle and a Sub-Gun. Match will be on May 13th (Mother's Day, Sorry) at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 05/13/07 TONY DEE
A perfect Mother's Day morning greeted us for our match. This was a Rifle and Sub-Gun match. The shooter started with a rifle and engaged 3 steel reactive targets in a Nevada Sweep. He then picked up his Sub-Gun and continued with an array of Steel, Paper and Clay targets. The match was reset for the second run with Steel and Clays. It was a short match so we could get home before Mom got too mad. We were done by 1130hrs . Next month will be the last match of the season and will be Sub-Gun only with Mandatory Mag changes so leave the drums at home. The date will be June 10th at 0900 setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 06/10/07 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for our match. This was a our final Sub-Gun match of the season. This was a 3 stage match that required mandatory reloads. The targets were all steel knockdowns and clays. The ranges were close and the number one stock gun shooter actually had a faster time than the open class. This does not happen very often. A wild team event followed. There were two teams and we cut lumber in a different kind of way. Great fun. We will start the next season with a Sub-gun match on September 9th. I will send out a notice before that time as a reminder. Have a great Summer.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 09/09/07 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for our match. This was a our first Sub-Gun match of the season. This was a 2 stage match that used our Electric Moving target on the first stage. The rest of the targets were all steel knockdowns and clays. The range was reset for the second stage and we finished early for all the Football fans. I want to thank everyone for the help in resetting the targets, Another wild team event followed. There were two teams and we cut lumber again. Great fun. The next Match will be on October 14th and will be a THREE GUN MATCH. You will need a Center fire Pistol and a Shotgun with BIRDSHOT, plus a Sub-Gun. Setup at 0800. Match starts 0900.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 10/14/07 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for our match. This was a our first Three Gun Match of the season. This was a 2 stage match in which the shooter started with a Pistol and had to engage a clay target before he neutralized a set of steel targets. He then finished the stage with another clay. He then picked up a shotgun and swept a series of clay and steel targets. The range was reset for the second stage in which the Sub Gun was used. This month the Stock gun shooters were faster than the Open Class shooters. Way to go. I want to thank everyone for the help in resetting the targets, Another wild team event followed. There were two teams and we cut lumber again. The winning team was very fast. Great fun. The next Match will be on November 11th and will be a TWO GUN MATCH. You will need a Center fire rifle (NO Magnums) plus a Sub-Gun. Setup at 0800. Match starts 0900.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 12/09/07 TONY DEE
A brisk morning greeted us for this match. The weather got colder and overcast as the day went on and the winds picked up, so a short match was set up using Steel, Clay and Pin targets. It was a two stage match with little movement and the pace was very quick. A two person team event followed the main match and we were finished by noon. Next month we will be doing something a little different. It will be a TWO GUN MATCH. However the you will need a .22 cal Rimfire Rifle and a Subgun. Any type of .22 is OK. And you can have any type of sight on it. You will be shooting the .22 at about 7 yards. Match will be on January 13th. Setup at 0800. Match starts at 0900.

A very cold morning for this match greeted us. We were very lucky that there was no wind but the temperature was 18 degrees when we were setting up. 11 hard core machine gunners showed up and we had a fun match. The shooter started with 5 rds loaded in his rifle and had to hit a reactive target at 25 yards. If the target was hit there was a 30 second bonus deducted from your time. The shooter then picked up the sub-gun and completed the course. We kept the match short and the targets were close to move things along. The range was reset for the second run and we were finished by 1100 hrs. Next match will be a Sub-Gun match and will be on February 11th at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 02/11/07 TONY DEE
A cold and windy morning for this match greeted us again. We have not been very lucky the last few months when it comes to weather. I hope that the weather gods will be nicer to us next month. We did a two stage match this month with Pins, Steel, and Clay targets. It was a fast moving match and was a lot of fun. A team match followed the main match. Next month we will be doing a 3 Gun Match. You will need a Shotgun with birdshot ammo only, a Sub-Gun and a Handgun. We will be shooting pins off the table with the handgun so the bigger the caliber the better. Date will be March 11th at 0900hrs setup at 0800hrs.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 03/11/07 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for our three gun match. We did a two stage match with the first stage using the handgun and shotgun. The shooter had to take 5 bowling pins off the a 4 X 8 table. It was tough for smaller caliber pistols to do this clean and the .45cals ruled. The shooter then picked up a pre-staged shotgun and took down 9 steel and clay targets. The course was reset for the sub-gun stage. The shooter had to take 9 pins off the table and then move to another position and take out several steel targets. Great fun and the match moved along quickly. A team event was held after the main match. Next month will be our Annual All Bowling Pin Match. That means anything goes as far as guns. What a BEAUTIFUL day to be pulling the trigger... and we were fortunate to be able to use several guns! Here's a few photos from the pistol and shotgun portion of today's three gun match. The subgun photos will follow.
Many thanks to all the usual suspects who selflessly volunteer their time so the rest of us can enjoy ourselves. Unfortunately, there are the same few people re-setting steel and pins, taping paper, and policing brass every month. We have a few that arrive late, (like me!), and leave early, and do nothing in between but enjoy the weather, shoot, and sit on their ass.
Something's REALLY wrong when the R.O. in charge of running the timer is forced to go down range to re-set pins while dozens of shooters stand by and watch him! I can assure you I will no longer allow my wife to reset your targets when she's also tasked with keeping an accurate score sheet and the shooter's positions. Perhaps YOUR wife will come and re-set your steel and pins? After today, it looks like the mandatory work program may be returning.
Please take a moment to consider AND THANK the people that make this monthly match happen. Without several people's dedication, Tony Dee's chief among them, we wouldn't have a subgun match in Las Vegas. Them's the facts folks, plain and simple. Please do your part to keep this event running smoothly. Thanks for your help and consideration.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 04/08/07 TONY DEE
A perfect Easter Sunday morning greeted us for our match. This was our annual ALL Bowling Pin Match.. Any Machine gun was acceptable for this match. We had a wide assortment of Belt-Feds, Assault Rifles and Sub-Guns. The match was simple. Take down 30 Bowling Pins as quickly as possible. This is Bowling Nevada Style. Great fun. Next Month will be a Two Gun Match. You will need a center fire rifle and a Sub-Gun. Match will be on May 13th (Mother's Day, Sorry) at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 05/13/07 TONY DEE
A perfect Mother's Day morning greeted us for our match. This was a Rifle and Sub-Gun match. The shooter started with a rifle and engaged 3 steel reactive targets in a Nevada Sweep. He then picked up his Sub-Gun and continued with an array of Steel, Paper and Clay targets. The match was reset for the second run with Steel and Clays. It was a short match so we could get home before Mom got too mad. We were done by 1130hrs . Next month will be the last match of the season and will be Sub-Gun only with Mandatory Mag changes so leave the drums at home. The date will be June 10th at 0900 setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 06/10/07 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for our match. This was a our final Sub-Gun match of the season. This was a 3 stage match that required mandatory reloads. The targets were all steel knockdowns and clays. The ranges were close and the number one stock gun shooter actually had a faster time than the open class. This does not happen very often. A wild team event followed. There were two teams and we cut lumber in a different kind of way. Great fun. We will start the next season with a Sub-gun match on September 9th. I will send out a notice before that time as a reminder. Have a great Summer.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 09/09/07 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for our match. This was a our first Sub-Gun match of the season. This was a 2 stage match that used our Electric Moving target on the first stage. The rest of the targets were all steel knockdowns and clays. The range was reset for the second stage and we finished early for all the Football fans. I want to thank everyone for the help in resetting the targets, Another wild team event followed. There were two teams and we cut lumber again. Great fun. The next Match will be on October 14th and will be a THREE GUN MATCH. You will need a Center fire Pistol and a Shotgun with BIRDSHOT, plus a Sub-Gun. Setup at 0800. Match starts 0900.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 10/14/07 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for our match. This was a our first Three Gun Match of the season. This was a 2 stage match in which the shooter started with a Pistol and had to engage a clay target before he neutralized a set of steel targets. He then finished the stage with another clay. He then picked up a shotgun and swept a series of clay and steel targets. The range was reset for the second stage in which the Sub Gun was used. This month the Stock gun shooters were faster than the Open Class shooters. Way to go. I want to thank everyone for the help in resetting the targets, Another wild team event followed. There were two teams and we cut lumber again. The winning team was very fast. Great fun. The next Match will be on November 11th and will be a TWO GUN MATCH. You will need a Center fire rifle (NO Magnums) plus a Sub-Gun. Setup at 0800. Match starts 0900.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 11/11/07 TONY DEE
A cool overcast morning greeted us for our match. This was a Two Gun Match and the shooter needed a Rifle and a Subgun This was a 2 stage match in which the shooter started with a Rifle and had to engage a set of steel targets. He then picked up a Subgun and swept a series of paper and steel targets. The range was reset for the second stage. This month the Open gun shooters were faster than the Stock Class shooters. I want to thank everyone for the help in resetting the targets. Another popular team event followed. There were two teams and we cut lumber again. The next Match will be on December 9th and will be a SUBGUN MATCH. Setup at 0800. Match starts 0900.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 12/09/07 TONY DEE
A brisk morning greeted us for this match. The weather got colder and overcast as the day went on and the winds picked up, so a short match was set up using Steel, Clay and Pin targets. It was a two stage match with little movement and the pace was very quick. A two person team event followed the main match and we were finished by noon. Next month we will be doing something a little different. It will be a TWO GUN MATCH. However the you will need a .22 cal Rimfire Rifle and a Subgun. Any type of .22 is OK. And you can have any type of sight on it. You will be shooting the .22 at about 7 yards. Match will be on January 13th. Setup at 0800. Match starts at 0900.
