I've been saving up my ammo and was wondering when you guys are planning the next shoot out at the hubcap ? I assume there will be one on July 4th. Is there going to be one before then ?

You are correct sir. We haven't announced the 4th of July shoot but it's coming up in six weeks.
We had a shoot a couple of weeks ago so I doubt there'll be another official shoot prior to the July event.

*Closes eyes tightly* *crosses fingers* and *wishes* for his new NFA toy to magically appear by July 4th..... Hmmm something about wishing in one hand... ? Anyhow, I am confident, I will be ready for a July 4th event, er wait... that's a SUNDAY! /mope

I'm thinking the vast majority of people will want to spend the 4th with friends and family.
We haven't nailed down the actual day, but I'm thinking/hoping it'll be Saturday the 3rd.

You may get lucky, but at any rate, you'll be close.

At July 4 is just a few weeks out. Any "NEWS" if the shoot is Saturday July 3 or Sunday July 4???? I vote for July 4 if that helps :)

Excellent Bob! That's great that NS has elected to step up and host one of the the annual events we've run for many years.

It'll be nice to give our guys a break so we cab sit back and attend as guests.

In conjunction with this shoot, I'm holding a campaign fund raising raffle for a true friend of the 2nd amendment. I'm donating a Tula Mosin Nagant to help fund Tony Wright's Sate Senate district 7 race. Tony won the Republican primary election and will need to raise lots of money to be successful in the November general election. I've known and shot with Tony for a number of years and you'll be hard pressed to find another candidate as pro-gun as this man. Hopefully Tony will be joining us this Saturday for the Independence Day shoot so I hope you can come out to meet and support him. Now more than ever, we need men like Tony Wright! http://www.wrightfornevada.com/

This is an all matching 1937 Tula arsenal manufactured Mosin Nagant chambered in the cheap and hard hitting 7.62x54r. Even the magazine floor plate and butt plate are original and not forced matched. Tula guns are generally considered to feature nicer, smoother machining than their Izhevsk built counterparts and 1937 was the first full year of production of the round receivers by Tula. This one has the desirable laminated stock and it's a beauty. It comes in the box as shipped with all accessories to include the bayonet, ammo pouch, oiler and small tool set with pouch. This rifle is unfired since I received it and still needs to have some cosmoline cleaned off from long term storage.

I'd like to offer chances for five bucks each with a minimum of $100.00 to be raised and a maximum of $150.00 to give you some value for your donation. Twenty bucks gets you four chances to win. The winner will need to present your Nevada drivers license so I can log this transfer into my C&R bound book. Winner certifies that he or she is legally able to possess firearms. No exceptions!

All funds will go to Tony's election bid. I'm not related to Tony and I don't live in his district.

I was hoping we were going to get that rain which was briefly forecast for just before the 4th. I'll try to remember to bring a fire extinguisher and an entrenching tool. ;-)

I'm going to, of course, bring my 50bmg. I don't mind letting anyone have a round or two, but if you want to shoot more than that, feel free to bring your own ammo. In particular, I trust American Eagle 660 grain FMJ. I won't accept old surplus junk, private reloads, or anything which isn't in a factory box. It's just too dangerous to my weapon, to the shooter, and to the spectators to allow anything questionable. It's also too dry for anything other than ball ammo. No tracers, spotters, incendiary, etc.

What time are we planning on gathering?

Safety briefing at 8:30 AM Saturday. Hopefully range goes hot by 8:45. Cease fire at Noon. Suppressors and .22 rimfire for fifteen minutes before we go "all" hot.

I will be there to do some shooting and some talking. Thank you Tom for the fundraiser. I hope it's ok if I push t a little on some of the other boards.

Thanks
