Lee-Enfield N01 Mk3.... or so says the receiver in the 1st picture.

Any ideas ??? Yep, I've got some ideas alright... ;)
A bolt action STEn Mk5 missing the pistol grip with the rear sling loop mounted on the bottom of the stock instead of the top. How'd I do?

Ok, I know what it is. But is it an original or one of the reproductions from Special Interest Arms?

Your first photo shows a bit of weld on the trigger guard to the magwell.
De Lisle!

Very good ! I even had a couple more clues to give you (but they would have made it easy):

This one was made by a gunsmith in Colorado. It's pretty close to the original, but the baffle design isn't exactly correct.
But a lot of fun, and really quiet ...

It's basically a No.1 Mk.III Enfield receiver with a shortened bolt and a Thompson SMG barrel attached. The magwell is changed to accept 1911 magazines and then the whole barrel is encased in the suppressor.
Pretty cool !

I really want to see/hear this! I pulled out my book of GOD, (Guns Of Dagenham), to brush up on the DeLisle. There's not a lot of information, but enough to peak my interest.
Like your DeLisle, my L34A1's baffle stack deviates from the original design. The modern design still uses a couple of old school tricks which results in an increased level of suppression over the original Mk5. Even though mine doesn't use the original rods, the end cap has fake one's to mirror the original gun. It's perfect in every detail to a factory gun. The only give away is the DLO marked tube.

So don't tell me you own a Welrod... ;)

No, don't have Welrod, damn it !!
You're right, there's not much out there on the De Lisle. I have GOD, but there's also the Ian Skennerton S.A.I.S. #13 "Special Service Lee-Enfields... Commando & Auto Models". It covers the De Lisle along with a handfull of other oddball Commonwealth stuff.
And there's a new English outfit called Tommy Atkins Media who have a small series of DVDs about British arms. I just saw the first one on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260546039944&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
It says it includes some footage of the DeLisle being fired. I may get it, though it's in PAL format. I've got a buddy in the video business who can convert it.
I have got to touch an original De Lisle. Lone Mountain Outfitters had one down at Wickieup a couple of years ago. Looked very similar to mine, but a lot lighter, for some reason.
