January ViMBAR Results
Old Man Winter showed up for the match this month. At 6.00am it was only 15 degrees and there was still some snow left on the ground from the day before.
Jim Coe set up a simple match, forty rounds, hoping to avoid frostbite.
Fifteen shooters braved the elements and were welcomed by sunshine and a high of 35 degrees by noon.

February ViMBAR Results
Jim put on a great match for us. Five stages, three with multiple distance targets, including shooting off hand at three hundred yards!
Stage One included the now traditional grenade toss, and Stage Five was two minutes rapid fire at a four hundred yard target. Three shooters tied for most hits on that stage with eighteen, and each received a box of 1943 vintage .45ACP ammo.
The Enfield Award for No. 1's was won by Joe Brennan.

May ViMBAR Results
It was a nice sunny day with highs in the mid 90's. 31 shooters showed up. The wind blew about 20mph for a couple of hours, which led to some interesting comments at the two standing position stages.
With a possible high score of 45, the shooters had to work for every point. With a gun show in town, we were finished close to 1.00pm.
Thanks to those who helped pick up targets.
Remember that we will be starting at 8.00am next month for our summer hours.

With temperatures on the rise, we still had thirty four shooters show up. Some first timers and some we hadn't seen for a while.
The infamous 400 yds 'til you hit it, then 200 yds 'til you miss it, etc. proved to be challenging, and frustrating.
By noon it was 100 degrees, and we were finished by 12.30.

We had a good turnout for this months match. Jim set up four pretty fast stages, so we could try and beat the heat.
All four stages had multiple distance targets, with one shot off hand, one sitting and two prone. The only bonus was the grenade toss on the tie breaker stage, and Jim gave us the obligatory five pistol shots on Stage Four.
The Enfield Award was won by English Andy.

Four fun stages, three with multiple distance targets. Including one stage shot prone unsupported, on a mattress ! Not as easy as you'd think. The tie breaker stage included Jim Coe's personal twist on the grenade toss. The target was the 'slit' of a bunker, only a couple of inches bigger than the grenade itself.

November ViMBAR Match
Hi Folks,
This is your monthly reminder about the ViMBAR match. It's this Saturday, set up at 8.00am and match at 9.00am.
Mud Duck will be doing a cookout and providing some meat. Michelle is bringing some drinks and chips. I'm going to bring a couple of types of potato salad.
So I need to know if anyone else is going to bring anything. We need buns, maybe some salsa, some kind of dessert would be great. Anything else you can think of.
We will also be running the last round of the 2007 Enfield Award. This will be for P14's and P17's. Same rules as ever. You can shoot a different rifle for the main match, or have your Enfield score count for both. A second rifle will be an extra $3.00.

Well the weather was the biggest challenge to deal with. It started out wet and bitter cold, and then it just got plain nasty!
Jim set us up four fast and furious stages, ending with a pistol and timed rifle stage. If you hit all three targets in under twelve seconds, you got a three point bonus.

Old Man Winter showed up for the match this month. At 6.00am it was only 15 degrees and there was still some snow left on the ground from the day before.

Jim put on a great match for us. Five stages, three with multiple distance targets, including shooting off hand at three hundred yards!
Stage One included the now traditional grenade toss, and Stage Five was two minutes rapid fire at a four hundred yard target. Three shooters tied for most hits on that stage with eighteen, and each received a box of 1943 vintage .45ACP ammo.
The Enfield Award for No. 1's was won by Joe Brennan.

It was a nice sunny day with highs in the mid 90's. 31 shooters showed up. The wind blew about 20mph for a couple of hours, which led to some interesting comments at the two standing position stages.
With a possible high score of 45, the shooters had to work for every point. With a gun show in town, we were finished close to 1.00pm.

With temperatures on the rise, we still had thirty four shooters show up. Some first timers and some we hadn't seen for a while.
The infamous 400 yds 'til you hit it, then 200 yds 'til you miss it, etc. proved to be challenging, and frustrating.
By noon it was 100 degrees, and we were finished by 12.30.

November ViMBAR Match
Hi Folks,
This is your monthly reminder about the ViMBAR match. It's this Saturday, set up at 8.00am and match at 9.00am.
Mud Duck will be doing a cookout and providing some meat. Michelle is bringing some drinks and chips. I'm going to bring a couple of types of potato salad.
So I need to know if anyone else is going to bring anything. We need buns, maybe some salsa, some kind of dessert would be great. Anything else you can think of.
We will also be running the last round of the 2007 Enfield Award. This will be for P14's and P17's. Same rules as ever. You can shoot a different rifle for the main match, or have your Enfield score count for both. A second rifle will be an extra $3.00.

Well the weather was the biggest challenge to deal with. It started out wet and bitter cold, and then it just got plain nasty!
Jim set us up four fast and furious stages, ending with a pistol and timed rifle stage. If you hit all three targets in under twelve seconds, you got a three point bonus.
