How early should you start your kids shooting competitively?

The kid looks 3/4, but has the coordination of of at least 6/7.

I'll bet he is just really small for his age, whatever that is.

On age appropriate shooting: Every kid is different and it is up to parents to determine when they are ready, if ever.

My daughter is turning four in a month, and she is not ready. No way. I've taught what guns are and not to touch them unless I'm hand it to her. She has handed an M9 replica pellet gun, but that's it. I broke it years ago and kept it as a training tool. (A friend has a 5 year girl old that has handled a red-ryder like a champ for about a year, every kid is different.)

Hopefully by the time she is 6 or 7, she will be able to pick up airsoft and go from there.
