MACHINE GUN MATCH 01/13/08 TONY DEE
A cool morning greeted us with a cold wind. This was our first .22 Rifle and Subgun match. The shooter had to first engage a rack of six small steel targets with the rifle. You had ten rounds to accomplish this. Then the shooter picked up his Subgun and took on an array of steel knockdown targets. The second run was similar but we used a different rack of five .22 targets that were slightly larger and you had to re-set them yourself for a total of ten targets with ten shots. Several penalties were incurred and the cold weather caused several malfunctions with the Semi-Autos. A fun team event followed with one shooter using the .22 rifle and the other shooter using the Subgun. Next month the match will be a sub gun match with MANDATORY RELOADS so leave the drums at home. Match will be on Feb 10th at 0900 setup at 0800

MACHINE GUN MATCH 02/10/08 TONY DEE
An absolutely perfect day with no wind and warm temperatures greeted us for our match. This was a Subgun match that required mandatory reloads. Three stages were set up and there was a lot of movement with clay birds, paper targets and steel targets. Two runs were set up and the new plate rack was used. A five Second bonus was given for a successful, non stop burst that got all the plates down during the second run. Great fun and a lot of ammo was expended. A very close team event followed the main match. Next month will be a TWO GUN MATCH. You will need a center fire RIFLE and a SUBGUN. Match will be on March 9th at 0900. Setup at 0800. MACHINE GUN MATCH 03/09/08 TONY DEE
A breezy and cool morning greeted us but as the day went on the winds died down and it warmed up to be very nice. This was a Two gun match that required a Rifle and Subgun. The shooter stated with the rifle and had to engage four steel targets in a progressive sweep. Then the shooter picked up his pre-staged Subgun and took out an array of steel and clay targets. Several penalties were acquired on the rifle stage even though the targets were fairly close. The range was reset for the second run with the addition of another rifle target. A two man team event followed the main match. Next month will be our annual BOWLING PIN shoot. This match is open to BELT FED Machine Guns, Full Auto Assault rifles and Subguns. All the Subguns and Assault Rifles regardless of sights will be in one class and Belt Feds in the other. We will be on RANGE 10 on the other side of the club as the IDPA State Championship will be on Range 2. Match will be on April 13th at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 04/13/08 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us. Today was our annual Bowling pin shoot and was open to all types of machine guns. We shot at 25 bowling pins and broke the shooters into three classes. There were Belt Fed, Assault Rifle and Subgun class. The match was very time consuming so it was decided to only do one run and then have a 3 man team event. This worked out very well and everyone had a great time. Next month will be a Sub Gun match and it will be held on May 11th (Mothers Day) at 0900. Setup at 0800. Hope to see you then.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 05/11/08 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for this match. This was a Subgun only match. The shooter started low ready and had to engage an assortment of paper and steel targets. The shooter then moved to another position and from a barricade position engaged clay targets and bowling pins along with the vicious, bloodthirsty rodent targets. A team match followed the main match. Thanks for all the help. One of our shooters Craig Jackson was rear ended as he was pulling into the gate for this match. As of this writing he is still in Valley Hospital with a head injury. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him for his recovery. Next month will be our last match of the season so we will be doing a THREE GUN MATCH. You will need a Pistol, Shotgun (Birdshot Only) and Subgun. The match will be held on Sunday June 8th at 0900 hrs . Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 06/08/08 TONY DEE
A breezy but cooler than anticipated morning greeted us for this last match of our season. This was a Three Gun match in which the shooter started with a handgun and took out 8 steel targets before picking up his pre-staged shotgun and took out 9 steel and clay targets. The range was then reset for the second run where the shooter started with his Subgun and neutralized more steel targets. It was a fast moving match and everyone had a good time. A three man team event was held after the main match. Each team had to shoot a Shotgun ,Handgun and Subgun. Great fun and the times were very close. We will start a new season on September 14th . Have a great summer. See you then.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 09/14/08 TONY DEE
This was the first match of the new season. The weather was warm with little wind. This was a Subgun match and we used the new electric Pop-Up target. The shooter had to start with an empty gun. On signal, the shooter had to load and engage a popper target that activated the pop-up. You had to shoot the pop-up without hitting the good guy hostage. It came up very quickly. A few of us (Tom & I ) didn’t take hostages and were penalized accordingly. The shooter then reloaded and engaged steel, clay and pins. This month the STOCK Class shooters had a faster 1st place time than the OPEN shooters. Way to go. A good, fun match. A team event was held after the main match. Next month will be a TWO GUN match. You will need a Centerfire RIFLE and a SUBGUN. Rifle targets will be at about 50yds. No Magnum Calibers. Match will be on OCT 12th at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 10/12/08 TONY DEE
The weather was cold and windy for our two gun match. The shooter started with a rifle and had to engage four rifle targets in a progressive sweep. You then picked up your staged Sub-gun and took out an assortment of steel knock down targets. The range was reset for the second run and a shorter course was set up. The stock gun shooters did it again and had a faster overall time. Nice shooting to Andy Wade. A team event followed the main match. Next month we will be a SUBGUN only match. The date will be November 9th. Setup at 0800, match starts at 0900.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 11/09/08 TONY DEE
The weather was cold and windy for our match again this month. The weather Gods have not been kind to us lately. Several brave shooters showed up and we put together a short match using all steel targets. The match went fast and smooth and we were done by noon. John. Wylie Jr. was very impressive in his win. Nice Job. A team event followed the main match. Next month will be a PISTOL and SUBGUN match. The match will held on December 14th at 0900, setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 12/14/08 TONY DEE
The weather was cold, but there were sunny skies and no wind for our match this month. This was a two gun match with the shooter using a Handgun and a Subgun. We set up a match using only Steel Targets to move things along quickly. The Shooter started with a Handgun and cleared a Plate Rack. He then picked up his Subgun and moved to another shooting position and took out the Steel knockdown targets. A Team event followed the main match. Next month will be a SUBGUN ONLY match on January 11th at 0900, setup at 0800. I want to thank Jack and John Wylie and Gail Wright for all their help again this year. We could not do it without you guys. Jane and I also want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See you in January.

A cool morning greeted us with a cold wind. This was our first .22 Rifle and Subgun match. The shooter had to first engage a rack of six small steel targets with the rifle. You had ten rounds to accomplish this. Then the shooter picked up his Subgun and took on an array of steel knockdown targets. The second run was similar but we used a different rack of five .22 targets that were slightly larger and you had to re-set them yourself for a total of ten targets with ten shots. Several penalties were incurred and the cold weather caused several malfunctions with the Semi-Autos. A fun team event followed with one shooter using the .22 rifle and the other shooter using the Subgun. Next month the match will be a sub gun match with MANDATORY RELOADS so leave the drums at home. Match will be on Feb 10th at 0900 setup at 0800

MACHINE GUN MATCH 02/10/08 TONY DEE
An absolutely perfect day with no wind and warm temperatures greeted us for our match. This was a Subgun match that required mandatory reloads. Three stages were set up and there was a lot of movement with clay birds, paper targets and steel targets. Two runs were set up and the new plate rack was used. A five Second bonus was given for a successful, non stop burst that got all the plates down during the second run. Great fun and a lot of ammo was expended. A very close team event followed the main match. Next month will be a TWO GUN MATCH. You will need a center fire RIFLE and a SUBGUN. Match will be on March 9th at 0900. Setup at 0800. MACHINE GUN MATCH 03/09/08 TONY DEE
A breezy and cool morning greeted us but as the day went on the winds died down and it warmed up to be very nice. This was a Two gun match that required a Rifle and Subgun. The shooter stated with the rifle and had to engage four steel targets in a progressive sweep. Then the shooter picked up his pre-staged Subgun and took out an array of steel and clay targets. Several penalties were acquired on the rifle stage even though the targets were fairly close. The range was reset for the second run with the addition of another rifle target. A two man team event followed the main match. Next month will be our annual BOWLING PIN shoot. This match is open to BELT FED Machine Guns, Full Auto Assault rifles and Subguns. All the Subguns and Assault Rifles regardless of sights will be in one class and Belt Feds in the other. We will be on RANGE 10 on the other side of the club as the IDPA State Championship will be on Range 2. Match will be on April 13th at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 04/13/08 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us. Today was our annual Bowling pin shoot and was open to all types of machine guns. We shot at 25 bowling pins and broke the shooters into three classes. There were Belt Fed, Assault Rifle and Subgun class. The match was very time consuming so it was decided to only do one run and then have a 3 man team event. This worked out very well and everyone had a great time. Next month will be a Sub Gun match and it will be held on May 11th (Mothers Day) at 0900. Setup at 0800. Hope to see you then.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 05/11/08 TONY DEE
A perfect morning greeted us for this match. This was a Subgun only match. The shooter started low ready and had to engage an assortment of paper and steel targets. The shooter then moved to another position and from a barricade position engaged clay targets and bowling pins along with the vicious, bloodthirsty rodent targets. A team match followed the main match. Thanks for all the help. One of our shooters Craig Jackson was rear ended as he was pulling into the gate for this match. As of this writing he is still in Valley Hospital with a head injury. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him for his recovery. Next month will be our last match of the season so we will be doing a THREE GUN MATCH. You will need a Pistol, Shotgun (Birdshot Only) and Subgun. The match will be held on Sunday June 8th at 0900 hrs . Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 06/08/08 TONY DEE
A breezy but cooler than anticipated morning greeted us for this last match of our season. This was a Three Gun match in which the shooter started with a handgun and took out 8 steel targets before picking up his pre-staged shotgun and took out 9 steel and clay targets. The range was then reset for the second run where the shooter started with his Subgun and neutralized more steel targets. It was a fast moving match and everyone had a good time. A three man team event was held after the main match. Each team had to shoot a Shotgun ,Handgun and Subgun. Great fun and the times were very close. We will start a new season on September 14th . Have a great summer. See you then.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 09/14/08 TONY DEE
This was the first match of the new season. The weather was warm with little wind. This was a Subgun match and we used the new electric Pop-Up target. The shooter had to start with an empty gun. On signal, the shooter had to load and engage a popper target that activated the pop-up. You had to shoot the pop-up without hitting the good guy hostage. It came up very quickly. A few of us (Tom & I ) didn’t take hostages and were penalized accordingly. The shooter then reloaded and engaged steel, clay and pins. This month the STOCK Class shooters had a faster 1st place time than the OPEN shooters. Way to go. A good, fun match. A team event was held after the main match. Next month will be a TWO GUN match. You will need a Centerfire RIFLE and a SUBGUN. Rifle targets will be at about 50yds. No Magnum Calibers. Match will be on OCT 12th at 0900. Setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 10/12/08 TONY DEE
The weather was cold and windy for our two gun match. The shooter started with a rifle and had to engage four rifle targets in a progressive sweep. You then picked up your staged Sub-gun and took out an assortment of steel knock down targets. The range was reset for the second run and a shorter course was set up. The stock gun shooters did it again and had a faster overall time. Nice shooting to Andy Wade. A team event followed the main match. Next month we will be a SUBGUN only match. The date will be November 9th. Setup at 0800, match starts at 0900.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 11/09/08 TONY DEE
The weather was cold and windy for our match again this month. The weather Gods have not been kind to us lately. Several brave shooters showed up and we put together a short match using all steel targets. The match went fast and smooth and we were done by noon. John. Wylie Jr. was very impressive in his win. Nice Job. A team event followed the main match. Next month will be a PISTOL and SUBGUN match. The match will held on December 14th at 0900, setup at 0800.

MACHINE GUN MATCH 12/14/08 TONY DEE
The weather was cold, but there were sunny skies and no wind for our match this month. This was a two gun match with the shooter using a Handgun and a Subgun. We set up a match using only Steel Targets to move things along quickly. The Shooter started with a Handgun and cleared a Plate Rack. He then picked up his Subgun and moved to another shooting position and took out the Steel knockdown targets. A Team event followed the main match. Next month will be a SUBGUN ONLY match on January 11th at 0900, setup at 0800. I want to thank Jack and John Wylie and Gail Wright for all their help again this year. We could not do it without you guys. Jane and I also want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See you in January.
