ill be there for sure

will most likely have a bunch of guys from work, and i hope to drag out Lucky13 from http://www.1917a1.com, and one of his friends to test out his prototype for his 1917 browning semi auto.
he has asked that we really give the thing a BEATING to help him torture test it for him, so if you bring some 30 06, or 8mm im sure youll get as much trigger time as you want on it (and it will be a rare SLAB sided 1917 browning - the very first watercooled Browning Machine Gun - not the later 1917a1)

ill have my 1919, vickers, and sterling there, and i hope a new toy i have in transfer but we shall see.

hope to see you guys there

Mike

Don't do it. It could lead to fun and that just ain't right!!!

I think I can make this one and finally get to meet you in person. BTW, my MAX-11 is running like a sewing machine with the trip removed. Thanks again for the assistance on the phone.

Kurt I'm glad you got the MAX-11 running correctly. Well at least in full auto. There's an old saying that "we didn't buy these bullet hoses to shoot them in semi auto", and there's a lot of truth to that. It is nice to have semi auto function for newbies, but with the ability to pull singles with the MAX-11, I don't need any possible malfunctions related to the trip.

I honestly haven't missed my trip since the first MAX-11 upper I bought a couple of years ago. Feel free to call me with any questions you may have on the little M11/9 and I'll try to help.

Regards,
Tom

Since we will be having several new people view this post from all over the internet, i should probably post directions on how to get to our shooting spot
http://www.vegasshooters.com/forum/showthread.php?6-Directions-to-where-we-go-shooting[/URL]

and our basic guidelines

I've followed the links showing the location and the rules, but I haven't seen anything about a start time and I was wondering what the road condition is like out there? Does it require a high clearance vehicle?

VegasSMG

There's no "official" start time. Some guys will show up around eight or earlier to get a good line position and set up their EZ-ups, tables, guns, and gear. Seems like the bulk of the crowd arrives between 9:00 and 10:00. People will come and go all day and I won't be arriving until well after Noon if I attend.

As long as you're not driving a sports car, most any passenger car will make the short off road trip of about a quarter mile. Just take it slow.

About road clearance

Caver451 has brought his Toyota Prius out before

im sure if you take the entrance to the road at an angle you will be fine in anything, and if you still cant make it, park on the street and come get one of us. we will help you bring your gear in by truck.

looking forward to meeting you on Sunday

We had a good shoot yesterday. Between 30-40 came out including some wives and kids. Good group.

I'm terrible with names but I wanted to thank all the "new" vegasshooters who came out including Mr & Mrs LVMauser and of course, Tophog! There were others and I apologize for not remembering all your names but we are looking forward seeing you all again.

Thanks for joining us Adam!
Remember me? I was the last to arrive at the last Nevada Shooters event. I had the Sterling Mk5.
Well... I was the last to arrive for the Labor Day shoot and I'm sorry I missed you.

A dedicated machine gun shooter that shows up in the rain to shoot and is a nice guy to boot. Of course i remember you. Sorry I missed you at the Labor Day shoot, my son wasn't feeling well so we headed home early.

Thanks for your kind words, but you of all people should know that Machinegunners are a hardy bunch. A little rain never hurt me. Anyway, I'm disapointed I missed you.

I stopped by your store today while I was in the area. I wanted to pick up a case of the Tannerite you have on sale and a case or two of the Federal 124 grain ammo if there is any left. To my disapointment, you were closed at 2:00PM. Living in Henderson, it's a long drive unless business takes me to that side of town which it did today.

Adam; Please consider posting you store location, hours, and sales item on this board.

My apologizes for your wasted trip!!

However we are not yet open. We are still waiting on the ATF to finish processing our change of address, 4 months and counting. Until i have my FFL i can not get the local business permits to sell anything so there is no reason to have the store open.

As soon as i have my license in hand i will post our address, hours, grand opening party etc.

Soda and eye candy is on me when you make it up after were open.
