Utah CCW Wait Time

After procrastinating for nearly a year, I finally got everything off to Utah in June. Finally got the permit in the mail last week. 68 days from when my CC was charged. About average from what I have read. Just a FYI.

I am currently a CCW instructor for several jurisdictions in CA, I was a UT CCW instructor for 5 years but let my cert lapse when they required a 4 hour class in UT. I have since registered to renew this Feb.

However the reason for the post is to let you know that UT state law states they have 60 days from receipt of your application to either issue you a permit or give you a good reason why. For the record the only reason for denial is that you would have to be a member of a precluded class. (aka, if you can legally buy a gun you can get a permit)

It is possible that this has changed but last I heard that was the case.

If anyone has any other questions feel free to contact me. I have done the class for probably 100 UT permits and probably 300+ CA.

I got my ccw a while ago(this yr) but my instructor wasn't Ut certified. I Got to wait till mid next yr (he's waiting on the instructor class)to get it for UT and others. Can you hook a brother up??? lol What will you need ???
