The men's group at Crossroads Community Church has been putting together special events for several months. Everything from golf outings, to baseball games, to a fishing trip at Lake Mead. This past Saturday was a trap shooting event held at Clark County Shooting Park.
Nine of us made the 50+ mile trek to the park and it was well worth it. There were extra shotguns on hand and provided free of charge for those who didn't own a gun but wanted to give this a try. I'm, not easily impressed, but the facility and the courtesy of the RSOs, (Range Safety Officers), were both truly excellent.
This enthusiastic and eclectic group ranged from a couple of guys who had never so much as held a gun to a very good sporting clays shot gunner, (great shooting Lonnie!). Everyone who attended was rewarded with a perfect fall day at a world class public shooting facility and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Afterwards, a couple of us, (like me), were glad we don't have to depend on our shooting skills to put food on the table.
I was very impressed at the overall level of safety demonstrated by the group and I was honored to be included. Thanks for taking the lead on this Lonnie and I hope we can all do this again soon
